Think all chardonnays are oaky?

Think again.

What do politics, Game of Thrones and chardonnay have in common? They can all divide a room. People tend to swing one way or another in favor (or against) these polarizing topics.

If you’re in the “swipe-left-on-oak” camp, we get it. You prefer butter on your bread, not in your glass. But like most things in life, it’s not black and white. There’s likely another episode, perspective or chardonnay worth considering.

Turns out, there are plenty of unoaked chards with amazing qualities. They’re aged in stainless steel barrels (bye-bye oak) and grown in cooler climates for a crisper, more refreshing style (hello bright acidity).

So, to all our chardon-nay sayers out there, it’s time to open your mind (and mouth) to these unoaked chards that defy their reputation.
